On April 8 and 9, several Birchwood students won first place in 
different categories of the junior division to represent the State 
of Ohio at the IFPS International Bowl in Wisconsin. They were 
among the eight Birchwood teams, including a team of high 
school alumni, and five individuals who earned an invitation to 
participate in the state competition from 160 registered teams. To 
earn an invitation to the State Bowl already required hard work 
and considerable effort; thus, to earn a spot at the International 
Conference is a special honor. Together with the first place winners, 
many other Birchwood students received various recognition:

All first place winners earned the honor to attend the International 
Conference in La Crosse, Wisconsin, on June 9-12.
Finally, we have to acknowledge the tremendous effort of all the 
parents who contributed to the success of this labor-intensive
