2011 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

The verdict is in. From 185,000 works submitted to
The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, top regional
works received Gold Keys, 3000 Gold Key writing
winners (including Birchwood’s nine) and 9000 Gold
Key for art. From these, 1500 national winners were
then selected and invited to Carnegie Hall for the
Award Ceremony to include the following students:
Trevor L - eighth grade - Silver Award for memoir
Clive C - seventh grade - Silver Award for fantasy
Katelyn V - seventh grade - Gold Award for memoir
Charles B - eighth grade - Gold Award for sculpture,
Best in Grade

They may have a chance to be selected for the traveling
exhibition or publication in a Scholastic book, magazine,
or online galleries.
